What young leaders may do

Young Leaders may help trusted adult organisers with suitable youth activities and community projects. Opportunities will depend on the programme, safeguarding arrangements and each applicant's readiness.

Support activities

Help organise sessions, welcome participants and keep group activities running smoothly.

Serve the community

Assist with events, volunteering, fundraising and practical projects when appropriate.

Build confidence

Develop communication, teamwork, responsibility and problem-solving skills.

Work safely

Follow adult supervision, safeguarding guidance and the mosque's code of conduct.

Please note: Applying does not guarantee a place or permission to lead a group independently. Applicants may be invited for a conversation, training and a supervised trial. Under-18s require parent or guardian involvement.
